High-speed grinding of polycrystalline diamond surface temperature distribution

One way to precision machining of PCD diamond wheel is used for grinding. High-speed rotation of the grinding wheel and the workpiece surface contact friction, frictional heat is generated, most of the heat is passed workpiece, the workpiece surface causing  synthetic diamond . High hand help PCD material removal and grinding surface roughness value decreases; hand too high a temperature can cause thermal damage to the surface of the ground, severe graphite, reducing service life and operational reliability of polycrystalline diamond, while high temperatures can lead to wheel wear faster. Therefore, the study of polycrystalline abrasive wheels high surface temperature distribution, to improve grinding efficiency and grinding quality,  abrasive grinding of thermal damage, in-depth study of polycrystalline diamond grinding mechanism of high significance. In this paper, three-dimensional thermal - mechanical coupled finite element analysis using a diamond wheel speed grinding polycrystalline diamond wafer, a different process parameters, the friction heat of formation of the temperature field distribution.
