Hardness of polycrystalline diamond shape probe

With close to natural diamond hardness, wear resistance, impact resistance, chemical stability. Polycrystalline diamond once available, they quickly used in machinery, aerospace, instrumentation and other areas. Because of the special properties of polycrystalline diamond, the general processing methods difficult to achieve. Usually abrasive wheels diamond processing using ultrasonic processing, chemical processing, precision grinding, laser machining and EDM wire cutting and other types of  abrasive grinding methods. WEDM polycrystalline diamond in recent years become a hot research, and gradually become the preferred way of processing of polycrystalline diamond. Hardness of polycrystalline diamond shape is generally cylindrical probe rod type, the probe contacts the end surface of the hemisphere. Due to improper operation or DUT surface quality impact, the probe are consumable parts, need to ensure that the probe interchangeability.
